Bellevue has three major highways running through it: Interstate 405, I-90 and SR 520. Traffic entering and leaving these regional roadways has a major impact on city streets.
While the state Department of Transportation maintains and upgrades these roadways, Bellevue Transportation Department staff work closely with WSDOT to minimize impacts from weekday commute traffic, highway maintenance and new construction.
