The Bellevue Probation Division accepts adult misdemeanor referrals from the King County District Court – Bellevue Division for the monitoring and tracking of court ordered obligations. The Probation Division works together with the courts, law enforcement agencies, community organizations, community leaders and victim advocates in order to facilitate rehabilitation and enhance community safety.
Using a risk-needs-responsive model, Bellevue Probation conducts in-depth assessments, determines areas of need and – within the guidelines set by the court – provides resources to individuals for appropriate programs that address these needs. Bellevue Probation treats all those we have the opportunity to serve with respect, fairness, and dignity, in a culturally competent, inclusive and accessible environment.
Community Service is often ordered by the court as a condition of supervision. If ordered by the court you must provide proper documentation of completion as described here.
Community Service may also be completed in lieu of Bellevue Probation fees. If completing hours in lieu of fees, hours must be completed at a non-profit within the City of Bellevue. Interested participants must sign the Community Service Agreement form. Participants are credited $20 per hour worked towards their fees.
With Court approval, you may complete Bellevue Work Crew hours in lieu of community service and receive an hour-by-hour credit for your obligation.
If you are on probation, federal law may affect your ability to move out of state without prior authorization. If you wish to move out of the State of Washington, please discuss this with your probation officer immediately. Determine transfer eligibility and get answers to common questions on the process here. If you still have questions regarding the interstate transfer process, please contact Maria Fesehazion at 425-452-7191.
The provided list of resources is not exhaustive and is primarily centered around the King County Region and particularly, the City of Bellevue. If you cannot locate a resource that fits your needs or location, please contact 425-452-6956 in order to speak with a probation officer who can assist.
