Bellevue Probation currently offers the following programs for residents of Bellevue or those who live outside of the city but have a case out of the King County District Court/Bellevue:

All classes and program offerings are provided at no cost to the client, ensuring equitable access to services without charges, fees, or financial barriers to participation. Additionally, they can be provided in your preferred language with the assistance of interpretation services to ensure clear communication, equitable access, and meaningful participation for every participant. Alive@25 is a four hour driver awareness program that addresses the number one cause of death for drivers ages 15 to 24, motor vehicle crashes, and is a national program that has been adopted by many states and courts. Alive@25 encourages young drivers to take responsibility for their driving behavior. Alive@25 is a highly effective interactive course ideal for young drivers who incur traffic (and other driving related) violations. This is a classroom-based course utilizing media segments, workbook exercises, class discussions and role playing; young drivers develop convictions and strategies that will keep them safe on the road. Light snacks and beverages are allowed in class.

Bellevue Work Crew is a program developed as an alternative means to fulfill Court-related obligations for eligible participants. Completed hours may be applied towards Probation related fees and program costs. If authorized by the Court and/or Prosecutor, completed hours may be applied towards community service requirements, mandatory conditions of a case or in lieu of jail sentences or sanctions.
The Bellevue Work Crew program is intended to help provide participants with an opportunity to develop strong work habits, learn new skills, make amends and be a part of a team that provides meaningful services to the local community.
Qualified participants perform various outdoor tasks such as lopping overgrown bushes and shrubs, pruning, cleaning structures, removing debris, washing vehicles, and transporting bark in wheelbarrows to improve walking trails. Jobsites are generally at parks, fields, and farms in the City of Bellevue.
New referrals may be accepted by the King County District Court – Bellevue Division, King County District Court-Redmond Division, and internally by Probation Officers.

Defensive Driving Course, 10th Edition (DDC10) delivers the highest level of research-driven content, defensive driving strategies, hazard recognition, and learner retention exercises. This course will help influence drivers to make positive choices to improve driving behaviors and attitudes and encourage respectful and lawful decisions to avoid collisions and decrease traffic violations. It provides them with knowledge and collision prevention techniques that focus on behavior, judgment, decision making, and consequences.

The Domestic Violence Moral Reconation Therapy (DV MRT) program is designed by Correctional Counseling, Inc. MRT has been shown to reduce recidivism and future criminal justice involvement. DV MRT is divided into 24 modules with each module completed in a group session. The entire program is approximately 6 months in length. Clients’ complete homework for each module prior to coming to a session. domestic violence MRT groups are open-ended, meaning that new clients can enter an ongoing group at any time there is space available. Each group session will usually have new clients as well as some finishing the program.

- Prior to beginning class, you will need to report to the Probation office to sign a form outlining the rules/expectations of the program, and receive your Bringing Peace to Relationships course guide (included with your $120 payment) which we will be utilizing for your 6 month program.
- Please come prepared to provide your case number and contact information (email address) of all persons (e.g. attorney, court, etc.) whom you would like to receive monthly progress reports on your class status.
Electronic Home Detention (EHD) is an alternative to jail and participants must be referred by the Court. EHD offers participants the opportunity to maintain employment, housing and community connections that are often disrupted when they are otherwise detained. Our EHD program serves multiple functions to include pre-trial alcohol monitoring via transdermal alcohol detection and breath testing in addition to traditional home detention services with or without GPS. While participating in the program, participants are subject to random urinalysis and breath testing.

The Gateway program is intended to provide guidance and assistance to Bellevue Probation clients during their court-ordered/EHD terms. Through Gateway, we support our clients with pro-social skill development, access to treatment and other community-based programming which may include education and employment resources. The Gateway Program is staffed by our Program Coordinators and volunteers.

The City of Bellevue understands that dealing with overdue traffic fines and holds on your driver’s license can be a daunting experience.
For that reason, the License Support Program (“LSP”), operated by Bellevue Probation Services, will walk with you through the process.
This program can assist you with child support holds, insurance holds, DOL issues and issues from other states which might be impacting your ability to receive a valid Washington State Driver’s License. See flyer for more details.
