Want to hold a class in one of our parks? A permit is required.
- Classes with up to 50 people follow the standard Outdoor Class permit process.
- More than 50 people follow the Park Event permit process.

Permit & Fees
- Permit required for any outdoor class
- Cost:
- $35 non-refundable permit fee per month and per park
- Hourly park use fees:
- 25 people or less: $9 per hour
- 26-50 people: $18 per hour
Feasibility Process
- Email class details to ParkRental@BellevueWA.gov:
- Type of class.
- Parks and areas within the parks you would like to teach.
- Time frame (including set up/clean up).
- What equipment will you bring to teach.
- Music/amplified sound details.
- What equipment will attendees bring.
- Once approved for feasibility, the permit process begins.
Permit Process
- Review Park Site Guidelines
- Complete Park Event Request Form (Word, PDF)
- Submit at least 30 days before first class
- Include all classes for the year in a separate Excel sheet (preferred). Include day of the week, date, set-up start time, class start time, class end time, take down end time.
- One-hour minimum per class.
Supporting Documents
- Washington State UBI number.
- Bellevue business license (required if you have a physical location in Bellevue or annual receipts over $2,000).

- If applicable, visit FileLocal to apply for the license.
- Certificate of Insurance:
- Insurance must cover the business or instructor’s name if self-employed.
- Listed as Certificate Holder and Additional Insured.

Cancellations, Credits, Change Requests
- Cancellation credit: 10 days’ notice required by email.
- No refunds for weather.
- New dates require a new form and fees.
Anyone conducting a class in a City of Bellevue Park without a permit is violating City Code and can be trespassed from park property.
