    Questions

Will the lights be turned on?

The field lights are programmed based on scheduled use, so they will NOT come on if your group is using the field without a reservation. To find out which fields have lights, please refer to List of Fields, Alphabetical (2023).

When will the lights be turned on?

If the field reservation starts after dark, the lights will be programmed to come on 15 minutes before use. If the field reservation starts before dark, the lights will come on 30 minutes prior to astronomical dusk. To find out approximately when the lights will come on, please refer to the Light and Darkness Schedule (2023).

When will the lights turn off?

The lights will be programmed to turn off 15 minutes after scheduled use.

How much will we be charged for the lights?

The light fee for field use is $24/hour at City of Bellevue fields and $23/hour at Marymoor fields. This fee is subject to change annually.

Will we get credit for the light fees if the field is rained out?

Yes, IF one of the following apply – 1) The field is closed per the Field Closure Line or 2) the field isn’t closed by the Field Closure Line BUT the group calls to cancel the lights. Credit for the light fees will begin at the time/date stamp of the message. NOTE: If the group determines field playability and doesn’t call to cancel the lights, they will NOT get credit for the light fees. Credit may not be available at Marymoor for rainouts determined at the field, even if the group calls to cancel the lights.

How late can the lights be on?

The lights at most fields can be on until 11 p.m. At Newport Hills, the lights can only be on until 10 p.m.
