Utilities Projects and Standards

The Utilities Department maintains pipes and pump stations with dozens of capital projects each year, including the following major ones. All Utilities capital projects valued at $100,000 or more can be found on the city's capital projects map.

Horizon View 2 Reservoir and Pump Station Project	Bellevue Utilities completed the design and permitting phase of the project to replace the Horizon View 2 water reservoir and pump station in Bellevue’s Horizon View neighborhood. Lake Washington Lake Line Management Plan	The City of Bellevue’s "Lake Lines" are part of the wastewater system located along Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish. Pikes Peak Reservoir Replacement	The city is replacing the aging, 1-million-gallon, steel Pikes Peak reservoir with a 1.25-million-gallon, concrete one at Bridle Trails State Park. The new reservoir will address seismic and storage deficiencies.	Water	Completed
Somerset Highlands Fire Flow Improvements	To improve fire flow in the Somerset Highlands neighborhood, the city will build a new water main along Southeast 49th Street between 151st Avenue Southeast and Highland Drive. This is the first part of a multi-phase program.	Water	Planning/Design
