  2. Sewer overflowed at 630 West Lake Sammamish Parkway NE. Public Health - King County advises people and pets to avoid contact with the water until Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 1:30 p.m.

Learn how your school can recycle and compost more with the School Waste Reduction Quest for grades 2-5 youth. Students will explore the school to find all of the bins, stickers, and signs that support a Zero Waste School. Bellevue School District are eligible to receive free technical assistance, materials, and workshops to help students become super sorters. This quest can help students engage with waste topics and make improvements to their schools!

The City of Bellevue offers Bellevue schools water systems, ecosystems, and climate change classroom workshops. These guides help students explore their own daily powerful choices and brainstorm with their family ways to generate less waste and conserve water at home!

Planet Protector Conservation Coloring Sheet

Grades K-1 Planet Protectors conservation coloring sheet (print version)

Mother Nature invites you to discover the 3 Rs - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (and the super C-Compost), and become a super sorter! Join the planet protectors and color these conservation strategies. The City of Bellevue offers Bellevue schools a theatrical storytelling program where Mother Nature has just come from around the world and along the way, she noticed that humans are using a lot of stuff and creating a lot of garbage. She invites students to join her as planet protectors and help solve the problem. Young students can continue this learning at home or in the classroom with this conservation coloring sheet.
