Bellevue Utilities assists K-12 schools in Bellevue with improving waste reduction, composting and recycling. Outreach is tailored to each school and can include:

  • lunchtime presentations
  • working with student groups
  • special event booths during lunch, school events or science fairs
  • School-specific recommendations to help each school meet their conservations goals
  • Tools such as indoor recycling and composting containers, and kid-friendly signage

Students use reusable lunch trays instead of foam ones.
