A Demolition drawing is necessary to show the general existing layout. No proposed construction activities or tree removal may be added. The demolition drawing should include the information below, but is not limited to this list. The city reserves the right to request additional information based on the proposed scope of work and site.
- Name, address and phone number of the preparer
- North arrow and graphic scale
- Property lines with dimensions
- Streets or alleys abutting the property, including identification of the street name
- 2 feet topography contour lines
- Existing structures: Show location, footprint, size and use
- Existing retaining walls, rockeries and fences
- Existing impervious surfaces, including walkways, parking lots, plazas, sport courts, gravel parking lots and path surfaces
- Landscaping or other permanent stabilization for all disturbed areas once the demolition is complete
Critical areas: Including streams, wetlands, areas of special flood hazard, steep slopes greater than 40 percent, unstable soils, coal mine hazard areas and the buffers and structure setbacks that protect critical areas
Temporary erosion control: Silt fence, catch basin inserts, etc. Note: This is not required if the foundation is proposed to remain and no ground disturbance will take place).
Trees: Depict all trees on the site plan and depict required Tree Protection Zones per BMP T 101. No tree removal is allowed under a Demolition permit
Utilities: Show the location of all utilities, below and above the ground. Use the best available information. Show existing and proposed hydrants, water, sewer, and storm drainage systems
