The construction design document file is a combination of the plan sheets that concern the design of a building at the construction permitting stage. The plans will need to be developed sufficiently to illustrate compliance with the Land Use, Fire, and Buildings codes at the final stage of design.
The requirements for information contained in the Construction Design Documents is determined by the type of permit under which it is submitted. It may contain any or all the following:
- Addressing Site Plan
- Civil Plans for Residential Projects
- Boundary and Topographic Survey
- Architectural Plan
- Structural Plan
- Pool and Spa Plan
- Shoring Plan
The submittal requirements for specific permits can be found in the Permits information.
The Construction Design Documents file is required to be bookmarked. The bookmarks should coordinate with the required information in the list above and with the indexing of the plan sheets. All required information must be provided on full-size plan sheets.
