The mission of the City of Bellevue Transportation Department is "to provide a safe and efficient transportation system that supports livable neighborhoods and a vital economy in partnership with the community." This means providing safe streets for everyone, whether they are driving, walking, biking, or using transit.

The Department's approach to safety is an interdepartmental effort spanning workgroups, street type, and neighborhoods. Guiding everything we do is our commitment to Vision Zero: reduce traffic deaths and serious injury collisions on city streets to zero by the year 2030.
