Six Bellevue parks – Meydenbauer Bay Park and Chism, Newcastle, Enatai, Clyde and Chesterfield beach parks – feature beaches on Lake Washington. All but Chesterfield usually have lifeguards posted throughout the summer. REI Boathouses

Parks & Community Services contracts with REI to offer classes, tours and rentals of stand-up paddle boards, canoes, and kayaks at Enatai Beach Park and Meydenbauer Bay Park. 

Amenities

Dock, play and picnic area, restrooms and swimming. Take a short trail with several steps down (and back up!) to enjoy the views and serenity of this small beach park. Approximately .6 acres.

From I-405, take the SE 8th Street exit west. Turn left on 112th Avenue SE. Turn right on Bellevue Way. Turn left on 108th Avenue SE. Turn right on SE 25th Street. From I-90, take the Bellevue Way exit north. Turn left on 113 Avenue SE. Turn right on 108th Avenue SE. Turn left on SE 25th Street.

Swimming, two picnic sites suitable for group events or weddings, dock, restrooms, picnic and play areas. Disabled parking available. Approximately 18 acres.
 

Driving directions

From I-405, take the NE 8th Street exit going west. Turn left onto Bellevue Way. Turn right onto Main Street. Turn left onto 101st Avenue SE. Follow the road as it curves uphill. Chism Park is on the right at SE 11th Street. From I-90, take the Bellevue Way exit north. Turn left on SE 16th Street. Turn right on 100th Avenue SE. Follow the road until it turns into SE 11th Street.

Swimming, dock, boat house, picnic area, restrooms, canoe and kayak rentals (seasonal). Partially hidden under the I-90 bridge, this waterfront park features a spacious patio with scenic views overlooking Lake Washington. Take in the wildlife during a canoe or kayak trip through nearby Mercer Slough. Disabled parking available. Approximately 3 acres.

From I-90, take the Bellevue Way exit north. Turn left on 108th Avenue SE. Park in the lot under the I-90 overpass or farther east on Lake Street. Rental information

Meydenbauer Bay Park is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.

Swimming, sunbathing, nature trail, 300-foot dock, play area, picnic facilities, large flat open space. Newcastle Beach Park is the most popular beach park in Bellevue's park system. Parking is limited; please carpool. Disabled parking available. Approximately 42 acres.

From I-405, take the 112th Avenue SE exit (#9). At the top of the ramp, turn west towards Lake Washington. Turn right onto Lake Washington Boulevard SE. Continue down the hill into the park. Rental information

In the event of inclement weather, Bellevue Parks & Community Services will make every effort to clearly communicate the status of facilities and programs, special events, and rentals. The department will make an operational decision based upon the safety of participants and employees and the ability to appropriately staff programs and facilities. 

Facility operating hours may vary, and those facilities not able to operate at full capacity may be open for drop-in activities on a modified schedule. Call the facility to confirm operating hours. Inclement weather can affect park use and trail conditions. Please use caution when visiting park sites during poor weather as trails and other park facilities may become wet and slippery. Park trails may also be closed.
