8-14-20: Enatai Beach and Newcastle Beach have re-opened. Meydenbauer, Chism, Chesterfield, Clyde, Newcastle and Enatai Beaches are all open with lifeguards on duty.
With heavy use and crowding in parks, the city has closed playgrounds, sports courts and picnic sites until further notice. This follows social distancing recommendations from Public Health — Seattle & King County. The closure includes basketball courts, picnic sites and other active recreation areas where people may be in close contact. Bellevue Parks facilities are also closed, and programs are cancelled until further notice.
Community centers and most recreation facilities remain closed. While we continue to work toward safely re-opening facilities and re-starting programming, all recreation program information is unavailable now. To learn about upcoming recreation programs, including registration opportunities, subscribe to our e-newsletter.
Now open - Parks, trails and beaches remain open for walking and activities that do not require close proximity and allow for the recommended social distancing that allows six feet between people. The Bellevue Golf Course, Crossroads Par 3 Golf Course, Robinswood Tennis Center, Bellevue Aquatic Center, outdoor tennis courts and ballfields are now open, with some safety and social distancing restrictions in place.
Bellevue Parks & Community Services operates an extensive recreation program that has been nationally accredited since 2005.
