    For many years, Bellevue's mayor has introduced the City Council's plans for the coming year in a State of the City address before the Bellevue Downtown Association at the Bellevue Club.

    On April 23, Mayor John Chelminiak gave the 2019 “State of the City” presentation to a 200-plus crowd at Meydenbauer Center. The address highlighted how Bellevue’s intentional planning, focus on creating community and bold policies set it up to be one of the world’s most desirable places to live and work.


    During the State of the City address on April 24, 2018, entitled "Bellevue's Tomorrow," Mayor John Chelminiak and Deputy Mayor Lynne Robinson shared insights into the strategic plans for Bellevue's future.


    During the 2017 State of the City address on April 25, 2017, Mayor John Stokes and Deputy Mayor John Chelminiak reflected on Bellevue's progress and provided insights on current priorities, challenges and opportunities.
