Dave Hamilton

Dave Hamilton was elected to the City Council in November 2023, for a four-year term starting in 2024. Prior to his election, he served on the Parks & Community Services Board for six years, chairing the board from 2021 to 2023. 

In addition to the Park Board, Dave served on the board of the Sophia Way, the Bellevue College Business Advisory Board and Bellevue Chamber of Commerce's board and executive committee. Around the time of his election to the council, Dave retired from a 35-year career in medical logistics. 

Dave supports the city's efforts to increase housing supply, improve housing affordability, maintain a high level of public safety and improve our transportation systems. His priorities also include parks and open space and protection and enhancement of the environment.

He is council liaison for the Parks & Community Services Board and the Bellevue Library Advisory Board. He represents the council on boards and committees including the Cascade Water Alliance Board, the Puget Sound Regional Council's Growth Management and Transportation policy boards and the Sound Cities Association Public Issues Committee.

Dave was born and raised in the Puget sound region. He and his wife live in Northeast Bellevue. They have six grown children.
