Welcome to the Bellevue Police Department, a nationally accredited law enforcement agency committed to providing the highest quality law enforcement, community education and support services possible. Our residents enjoy a low crime rate and an outstanding quality of life.

To maintain this quality of life, our highly trained officers and professional staff use a combination of proactive and reactive methods to effectively and quickly respond to calls for service. To help reach our goal of a safe community, we partner with our caring community to identify problems early on and look for the best solution.

With a budget for 206 commissioned employees and total staff of 256, the Bellevue Police Department provides professional police services to all residents, businesses and visitors of Bellevue, the fifth largest city in Washington. We strive to serve the community with respect, integrity, accountability and service.

To provide a safe place to live, work and visit through quality law enforcement practices delivered by dedicated professionals. We focus our efforts and resources to reduce crime, reduce the fear of crime and enhance the quality of life for all who call Bellevue home.

The Bellevue Police Department serves a population of more than 151,500 community members in a 33-square mile area, with over 206 budgeted commissioned officers and 50 professional personnel. The department always welcomes feedback. The department's policy manual is also available for viewing.

    Sector Captains

Do you have an issue affecting your neighborhood? Contact the sector captain for your area! A captain is assigned to each of three geographical sectors -- North, South and West -- and is ultimately responsible for issues taking place in their sector. To identify the sector captain for your neighborhood, please refer to the sector captain map. Read the latest Sector Captain Newsletter, "Sector Watch", here.

Do not contact the sector captains to report crimes or incidents in progress. To report a crime, please call 911 for emergencies or NORCOM non-emergency at 425-577-5656. You may also report many crimes online.
