Sewer Spill Alert

A blockage incident occurred on Saturday resulting in approximately 9,000 gallons of sewage entering the north end of Meydenbauer Bay in the 700 block of Overlake Drive E, Medina. King County Public Health recommends people and pets stay out of the water in the affected area, including Clyde Hill Beach Park and Meydenbauer Beach Park, until Sunday, Nov. 10 at 12 p.m. Crews are putting signs in place at public access points and notifying bordering residents. Bellevue's Water System Plan documents water utility policies, procedures, inventory of assets and analysis of system needs. The plan was adopted by the City Council in June 2016 and approved by the state Department of Health in January 2017.
