Throughout late September and early October 2024, the City of Bellevue Transportation Department will be implementing intersection improvements and new road striping along streets throughout the city to improve safety for people for people driving, walking and rolling throughout Bellevue.
The improvements planned for SE 41st Place include new road striping (pavement markings delineating the vehicle travel lanes) on SE 41st Pl. between Factoria Boulevard and 124th Avenue SE.
The new travel lane markings will add a two-way-left turn lane from 124th Avenue SE to Factoria Boulevard. As the former Walmart building was redeveloped for what will become the new T&T Market, the anticipated increase in traffic makes it necessary for a new center turn lane to improve safety for drivers turning into and out of the Factoria Mall.
In order to accommodate the new turn lane, parking along both sides of SE 41st Place between Factoria Boulevard and 124th Avenue SE will be eliminated.
What to expect:
- The city plans to perform this work mid-to-late September or early October 2024.
- Two-way flagging will be in place during construction.
- Once the project is complete, parking will no longer be permitted on SE 41st Place.
