Residents and staff chat on a Neighborhood Walk in 2018.

Neighborhood Walks give residents and city leadership an opportunity to engage in informal and productive conversations about what matters most to our community, while experiencing Bellevue’s unique neighborhoods together.

Responding to resident requests, city leaders visited with residents during Summer Chats in 2017. The program got a name change - to Neighborhood Walks - in 2018.

    2024 Neighborhood Walks

Thank you for coming out to visit and walk with city staff and leaders and your neighbors during this year's Neighborhood Walks in West Lake Samm/Lake Hills, Factoria and West Bellevue!

    2023 Neighborhood Walks

Thank you for being part of the 2023 Neighborhood Walks in Newport, Crossroads and Northwest Bellevue!

    2022 Neighborhood Walks

2022 Neighborhood Walks were enjoyed in Eastgate, Wilburton, Bridle Trails and Lake Hills neighborhood areas.

    2021 Neighborhood Walks

One of the first events that city leadership initiated as pandemic restrictions eased up, was to reengage with Bellevue residents in their neighborhoods. 2021 Neighborhood Walks were well-attended and robust conversations were had in Somerset, West Bellevue, Northeast Bellevue and a Virtual Neighborhood Walk featuring West Lake Sammamish, Wilburton and Cougar Mountain/Lakemont.

    2020 Virtual Neighborhood Walks

Due to COVID-19, the program continued in 2020 as Virtual Neighborhood Walks. During three webinars, City Manager Brad Miyake and directors from each department heard about neighborhood uniqueness, resilience, pride and emerging concerns. Several neighborhood leaders shared issues in their neighborhood, followed by questions and answers with the city manager and department directors.

    2019 Neighborhood Walks

City leaders walked with residents in Bridle Trails, West Bellevue, Woodridge, Eastgate and West Lake Sammamish neighborhood areas during the summer of 2019.

    2018 Neighborhood Walks

In 2018, the Leadership Team, including the city manager and department directors, visited Crossroads, Northwest Bellevue, Lake Hills, Newport and Cougar Mountain/Lakemont neighborhood areas with residents.

    2017 Summer Chats

The city manager and staff met with residents for Summer Chats in six Bellevue neighborhoods.
