Stewardship Saturdays are community volunteer projects hosted at various parks throughout Bellevue. Businesses, groups, families, and individuals can participate in the stewardship and care of Bellevue's parks and open spaces.
Volunteers plant trees and shrubs, renovate hiking trails and remove noxious weeds. Volunteers can sign up as a group or individually. Drop-in and unregistered guests will not be able to participate. Each child under 12 must be accompanied by an adult (i.e., 1:1 ratio) and youth cannot be left unattended with city staff when the project ends. All volunteers must sign (or have signed by their parent or legal guardian) a liability waiver when checking in. High school students age 14+ may attend volunteer projects alone, provided they bring appropriate paperwork signed by a parent or legal guardian and have preregistered.
Please bring sturdy closed-toed footwear, work gloves, water, layers of comfortable clothing, long pants, and rain gear (if necessary). Projects will be held rain or shine but may be cancelled if severe weather conditions are forecasted.
Our team has some availability to host mid-week (Wednesday/Thursday) volunteer projects for groups of 10 or more volunteers. For more information, or to inquire about availability, please email the park rangers.
