The city is planning a new neighborhood park at 12525 NE Spring Blvd.  Our park master plan will help guide the design

and construction of this new park in the BelRed neighborhood.  The park plan will be informed by the BelRed Subarea Plan, park system needs, community feedback, the Parks & Community Service Board’s recommendation and City Council. We anticipate the planning to take approximately one (1) year.

Background

The BelRed Subarea Plan, updated in 2024, provides a framework for the development of a comprehensive parks, trails and open space system within the BelRed neighborhood.  This planning effort supported the design of a new public park along the west tributary of Kelsey Creek, to include trails and neighborhood park facilities.

The approximately 8-acre project site is located between 124th Avenue NE and 130th Avenue NE.  The voter approved 2022 Park and Open Space Levy will fund the development of this new park.

  • Keep the public, the Parks & Community Services Board and City Council informed.

Please consider signing up for email alerts so you know when this project website is revised.  We’ll work to keep you updated with meeting invitations and materials, surveys, community feedback and planning and development schedules.
Questions, comments and feedback are welcome at any time.  Please contact project manager Zarrian Smith.
