Once the site of the bustling turn of the century logging town of Wilburton, Wilburton Hill Park is now the largest upland park in the city. The park is home to a wide variety of active and passive recreational opportunities. The 120-acre community park showcases a botanical garden of native Northwest plants and provides demonstration and educational opportunities. Active play enthusiasts can take advantage of the soccer and ball fields, tennis and basketball courts, group picnic facilities, and children’s play area. The park’s primary function, however, is to protect and enhance the natural areas, forests and wildlife habitats. The Lake-to-Lake Trail traverses the park connecting to Kelsey Creek Park to the east, and Downtown Park and Mercer Slough Nature Park to the west.
Directions:
From I-405, take the NE 8th Street exit east. Turn right onto 124th Ave NE. The park is straight ahead, at the intersection of 124th Ave NE and Main Street.
