    In the evergreen forest surrounding Robinswood Park lies a one mile loop trail. Upon entering the forest, the trail system crisscrosses through this second growth stand of Douglas firs. Notice the young western red cedar and western hemlock coming up from below. This is truly a forest in transition. Slowly, the Douglas fir will be replaced by the cedar and hemlock, completing another vegetation succession cycle for this piece of land.

    From the trails, hikers can also visit the Robinswood Tennis Center, the park's off-leash dog areas, and another patch of forest dominated by Pacific madrone trees, synthetic sports fields and children's play areas. Heading east on SE 28th Street, you can connect with the Spiritridge Trail.

    Directions:

    From I-90, take exit #11B (148th Ave SE, north toward Bellevue College). Turn right onto SE 22nd St. The parking lot is on the right.
