The City of Bellevue is preparing the preliminary 2027-28 Budget to present to the public and City Council this September. Community members will have multiple ways to learn more about the budget process, share their priorities and understand potential options for funding additional investments in key transportation infrastructure.

Bellevue’s budget is produced every two years and includes a six-year capital budget. The budget serves as a major policy document and describes how the city intends to finance its services and infrastructure.

“Our goal is to present a preliminary budget that continues services and programs that matter to our community and prepares us for future growth,” said Diane Carlson, Bellevue’s city manager. “And this year, we have added new ways for the community to learn about and participate in the public budgeting process.”

The full schedule of information sessions, public hearings, online surveys, including a survey on the city’s transportation needs, can be found at Budget Public Involvement.

In July, the Transportation Department will host two information sessions to share the city’s transportation needs as Bellevue continues to grow. Registration is encouraged but not required. The city will host a Budget 101 informational meeting Aug. 13 to help the community learn about the budget process and ways to engage. The city will host another information session Sept. 30 on the proposed 2027-28 Budget. Registration is encouraged but not required for all sessions.
