Wireless Communication Facilities Permits

  • Wireless Communication Facilities and Satellite Dishes in Right of Way
  • Wireless Communications Facilities on Private or Public Property

Installation of a new wireless communication facility (WCF) or modification of an existing WCF located in the right of way. This includes all work in the public right way associated with such activity, including but not limited to temporary traffic control, surface disturbance and construction staging. (TJ)

Apply for this permit online through MyBuildingPermit. When entering application information, choose the following:

  1. Application type: Right-of-way
  2. Project type: Franchise utility
  3. Activity type: Wireless communication facility
  4. Scope of work: Wireless communication facility

Required Documents

The documents listed below are the minimum necessary to proceed with the application process. If you believe that a required submittal document does not apply to your project, please upload the Document Waiver Form in place of the required document.

  • Bill To Form
  • Construction Plans including the following:
    • Existing and proposed equipment plans for all locations
    • Location and dimensions of existing facility components
    • Existing and proposed site grade.  If no change, include a note reflecting no change.
    • Area of ground disturbance for construction activities
    • Details
    • Visual Screening Methods and Materials: This may include vegetation screening.  Include location, number, type and caliper (if applicable) of proposed trees, size of shrubs, or cut sheet for material type and color for any proposed screening.
  • Basic Site Plan

  • Wireless Communication Facility Supplemental Information
    • Required for Eligible Facilities request (6409a)
  • Copy of original siting approval
    • Records for siting approval documents can be acquired by submitting a request to Development Services Records. Records must be uploaded to the application. 
  • Visual Screening Method and Materials
  • Letter of Compliance with FCC RF Standards
  • Owner Authorization
  • Service Coverage Area Map
  • Birdseye View and Photo Simulation

In-person Permit Center services are available Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

The Permit Center is open Friday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., with customers visiting City Hall served remotely.
Business Hours
Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
