For removal of landmark trees (minimum 24 inches in diameter at breast height) and/or significant trees (minimum 6 inches in diameter at breast height) only on a single-family property not combined with a building permit or other clearing and grading work, not within the public right-of-way, not within a critical area, buffer or setback and not within a protected Native Growth Protection Area (NGPA) or Retained Vegetation Area (RVA) easement or tract. - Removal of any significant tree (6 inches or greater in diameter) and/or landmark tree (24 inches or greater in diameter).

Apply for this permit online at MyBuildingPermit.com. When entering your Application Information, choose the following:

Required Documents
A site plan is required to show the number of significant and/or landmark trees that are to be removed. Please reference the limits on annual tree removal to confirm removal allowed and if replanting is required. If replanting is required then the site plan must show tree replanting locations and provide the species and tree size at planting.

- Removal of Hazard Trees that meet criteria in LUC 20.20.900.C.3, as assessed by a qualified tree professional, require submittal of an arborist report with a tree hazard declaration and basic tree assessment, along with your site plan.
