King County's Solid Waste Division will temporarily pause free storm debris collection at its transfer stations until Dec. 7 due to lack of capacity and the overwhelming demand for disposal services following the region’s recent windstorm. Bomb cyclone storm impacts

A bomb cyclone windstorm lashed Bellevue the night of Tuesday, Nov. 19, bringing down trees throughout the city and leaving hundreds of thousands without power. Description

The Development Services and Fire departments are seeking input from architects, contractors, developers and the public regarding an upcoming change from the 2018 International Codes to the 2021 International Codes, which will go into effect in 2023 as required by state law. Open house outreach sessions will provide a high-level overview of major changes to building, electrical, energy, fire, mechanical, plumbing and residential codes.
