To accommodate sewer improvement work, no turns will be allowed to and from 112th Avenue Southeast at the intersection with Southeast Eighth Street for a month beginning Monday, Nov. 23. construction traffic impacts map
During construction the travelling public should expect the following traffic restrictions:
- No turns allowed from 112th Avenue Southeast onto Southeast Eighth Street;
- Closure of Southeast Eighth Street at 112th Avenue -- allowing no access to 112th; and
- Reduction to just one lane of traffic in each direction on 112th Avenue Southeast between Southeast 15th Street and Sixth streets.
To access Interstate 405 the travelling public can:
- Exit and enter I-405 at Northeast Fourth Street; or
- Exit and enter I-405 at Southeast Eighth Street via 114th Avenue Southeast, using Southeast Sixth Street or Main Street to access 114th.
The Bellefield area sewer improvements are needed to replace aging infrastructure and to increase capacity to serve a growing downtown. Work will include continued installation of large sewer pipes in 112th Avenue Southeast and Southeast Eighth Street, as well as a large excavation in the intersection to place a sewer maintenance structure.
During construction, expect heavy equipment, delivery of materials, noise and traffic delays. We are committed to keeping you informed as the project progresses. We appreciate your patience and flexibility during these improvements.
