Because of the limits on public gatherings due to the pandemic, Chief Mylett believed a virtual chat was the next best way to connect with the Bellevue community. Conversations with the Chief on Dec. 17 was a success, with well over 100 people tuning in to ask questions and get an update on the state of policing in Bellevue.
Now, the Chief has announced he will regularly hold virtual town halls, including meetings with the diverse communities represented by the police advisory councils, each Bellevue sector represented by sector captains, as well as with all city residents.
The Feb. 16 “Conversation with the Chief” will focus on issues relating to the Asian/Pacific Islander community. People who register will receive a Zoom invite before the event.
