Outdoors adventurers pushing themselves to the limit while confronting deep questions about the world and life are featured in a series of documentaries to show at the Bellevue Youth Theatre, 16051 NE 10th St., 7-9:45 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 29.
The movies are selected from the annual Mountainfilm Festival in Telluride, Colorado, which showcases independent documentaries about environmental, cultural, climbing, political and social justice issues. A presenter from Mountainfilm on Tour will provide insight on the films, filmmakers and subjects.
The films, which vary in length from a minute to 25 minutes, will explore the themes connected to Mountainfilm’s mission: using the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world.Tickets for Mountainfilm on Tour in Bellevue can be purchased online at Eventbrite.
Tickets will also be available the day of the event at the door. The cost for each show is $18 for Bellevue residents and Mountaineer members and $23 for others. Mountainfilm on Tour in Bellevue is co-hosted by the Bellevue TRACKS program and The Mountaineers.
