The LEOFF 1 Disability Board helps to administer the Law Enforcement Officers’ and Fire Fighters’ 1 retirement plan by reviewing and acting on medical claims, disability leaves and retirements for active and retired LEOFF 1 members. The five-member board is made up of two city councilmembers, an active or retired firefighter, an active or retired law enforcement officer, and a Bellevue resident. The board meets the first Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m.
The vacancy is for a resident-at-large, who is appointed by the other four board members to serve a two-year volunteer term. Service on boards and commissions offers community members a meaningful way to help shape Bellevue’s future.
