Construction on Northeast Fifth Street in the Wilburton neighborhood, to add a crosswalk and landscaped medians, necessitates the street's closure in both directions until mid-May.
Construction, which began Friday, is taking place between 120th and 124th avenues Northeast. The new crosswalk will be at 124th Avenue; the medians will be east of 124th.
To help expedite this construction, the work will continue through the weekends and should be complete within three weeks, weather permitting. The construction will consist of a full closure of Northeast Fifth Street that will allow access to adjacent properties in the immediate area.
Please drive safely and obey flaggers through and around the construction zone. The construction closure signage will remain during the evenings and weekends, but vehicles will be able to navigate through the construction zone to access properties.
