The City of Bellevue invites the community to celebrate the nation’s 250 years of independence at the Bellevue Family 4th, the Eastside’s largest Independence Day celebration, on Saturday, July 4, 5-10:30 p.m. at Downtown Park,10201 NE Fourth St.
The beloved annual event – presented by The Bellevue Collection and coproduced with the Bellevue Downtown Association – offers a full evening of festivities, live performances and a spectacular fireworks show synchronized to music. Activities for all ages include:
- Live music at the Amazon Entertainment Plaza, including performances by regional artists
- Family activities including yard games, a scavenger hunt, selfie tent and interactive sports-themed games for all ages
- Merchandise vendors
- Food and beverage vendors starting at 3 p.m.
At 10:05 p.m., the fireworks show will begin—a community tradition coproduced by the Bellevue Downtown Association for nearly three decades.
“Bellevue’s Fourth of July celebration brings our community together in a way few events can,” said Mayor Mo Malakoutian. “This holiday gives us the opportunity to reflect on the values of resilience, connection and shared purpose that define our city. I’m grateful to everyone who helps make the Bellevue Family 4th a welcoming and joyful tradition for residents and visitors alike.”
Getting there and back
To reduce congestion, attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, carpool or take transit, including extended light-rail service on Sound Transit’s 2 Line, which will run until midnight.
Several streets around Downtown Park will be closed to vehicle traffic for safety; visitors are asked to follow all posted signs and directions from Bellevue Police.

Free parking will be available after 5 p.m. at The Bellevue Collection properties (Bellevue Square, Lincoln Square North, Lincoln Square South and Bellevue Place). For efficient post-event exit, park at Lincoln Square or use the Bellevue Place garage and exit via Northeast 10th Street.
Parking for people with disabilities is located on the first floor of the southwest Bellevue Square parking garage from Downtown Park’s west parking lot off 100th Avenue Northeast. To access ADA parking, travel on Northeast Eighth Street and turn south onto 101st Avenue. Permit holders will have access to this secure section of the garage. Entry to the garage with a permit is open until 9 p.m.
Staying safe
The Bellevue Fire Department reminds everyone that personal fireworks are not allowed in Bellevue – this includes selling, using or possessing them. To help keep everyone safe, personal fireworks, alcohol and drugs are not permitted at Downtown Park. Also, please leave grills, barbecues, camp stoves and other cooking equipment home when visiting the park.
Fire Prevention Officers will be conducting emphasis patrols the evening of July 4. The use of fireworks can be reported on the MyBellevue app.
Well-behaved dogs are allowed in the park but must be on a six-foot leash. No dogs, tents or canopies are allowed in the Amazon Entertainment Plaza seating area. Small tents or canopies are allowed at the park until 8 p.m., when all tents must come down.
