Hearing in October
The Bellevue Human Services Commission is now accepting comments from the public on the draft 2025-2029 Community Development Block Grant Consolidated Plan, a report to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that explains how the city intends to invest block grants it receives between 2025 and 2029.
The draft Consolidated Plan and the 2025 Annual Action Plan, which is included in the Consolidated Plan and outlines the proposed use of 2025 funds awarded by HUD, will be available for review and comment between Sept. 16 and Oct. 17 at Block Grants or by requesting a copy from dadair@bellevuewa.gov. Written comments may be emailed to the Human Services Commission at humanservicescommission@bellevuewa.gov.
In addition, the commission will hold a public hearing at City Hall and online on Monday, Oct. 21, 6-8 p.m., to receive comments on the draft plan. Input collected at the hearing and through public comment will help guide development of the plan. The agenda for the hearing will be available at city meetings on Oct.17 and will include details on how to access the hearing.
In accordance with 24 CFR 91.105, notice is hereby given that the City of Bellevue is developing its draft 2025-2029 Community Development Block Grant Consolidated Plan.
Block grants support viable urban communities by funding affordable housing and expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income people.
