Survey and listening session available this month

The City of Bellevue is offering an opportunity for community members to weigh in on how they feel about Bellevue and how they access information from city government. This work is part of a commitment to continuously improving communications and aligning the city’s identity with the needs of the community.

Community members are invited to register for an in-person community listening session:

    Exploring Bellevue’s Identity Together
    Date: Thursday, Sept. 25
    Time: 6-7:30 p.m.
Where: City Hall, 450 110th Ave. NE

During the event, participants will learn more about the effort to assess and refine how the city represents its identity and connects with the community. Attendees will offer feedback during small group discussions about their perceptions of the city, their community values and their communication preferences. Community participation will help shape the future of the city’s communications and community engagement approaches.

For those not able to attend the listening session, an online survey is now open until Oct. 5. Please note: Translated versions of the survey will be available beginning Sept. 15 at the link above. Survey responses and community feedback will be incorporated into a report delivered to the city council with recommendations for key actions.

There will also be a related community survey launching in late September to further assess community sentiment on engagement, accessibility, decision-making and city values.

Community input is crucial in helping the city understand what matters most to people and how communication and community engagement efforts can be improved. This information will support progress on achieving two of the Council Priorities identified and adopted by the Bellevue City Council in 2024.

Learn more about these efforts and see the survey results and summary report once completed at Brand Identity Assessment.
