List of rules for the Bellevue Aquatic Center facility, pools and dive tank use.
General Facility Rules
- Pool staff are authorized to enforce rules and supervise the public’s use of the facility. Failure to comply may result in removal from the premises.
- Patrons must adhere to the Facility Code of Conduct and treat all pool users with respect.
- Children 12 and under must have a parent/guardian (18+) in the building at all times.
- Children 8 years old and under must have a parent in the water and within arm’s reach unless they pass a swim test, which allows them to swim independently in the Blue Lagoon pool only. Adults may accompany no more than 2 children.
- Usage of the pools while under the influence of drugs or alcohol is prohibited.
- Patrons must wear appropriate swimwear and ensure all clothing is clean.
- Bathers wearing diapers must wear tight-fitting protective coverings. Diapers must be changed in designated areas only.
- Non-swimmers must remain within arm’s reach of a supervising parent/guardian.
- Running and horseplay are not permitted.
- Diving is only allowed in the dive tank.
- Competitive breath-holding and shoulder rides are prohibited.
- Masks, fins, snorkels, and other swimming aids require staff approval. Scuba gear is prohibited.
- Only pool equipment labeled for patron use is allowed.
- No food, gum, or drinks (except water) are permitted on pool decks or in locker rooms.
- Glass containers are not allowed anywhere in the facility.
- Street shoes must remain behind the gutter line surrounding the perimeter of the pools.
- Changing on the pool deck is prohibited.
- Everyone must take a cleansing shower before entering the pool.
- Patrons with communicable diseases, open wounds, or symptoms of diarrhea or vomiting in the past two weeks may not use the pool.
- No cell phone use is allowed in locker rooms.
- Children 8 and older must use the locker room appropriate to their gender.
- Locker room use must align with individuals' gender identity or gender expression (WAC 162-32-060).
- Accessible shower rooms are available. Individuals with disabilities or mobility issues receive priority.
- Patrons with seizures, heart, or circulatory conditions are advised to swim with a buddy.
- Spectators are welcome in designated areas.
- The Bellevue Aquatic Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Items will be held for 3 weeks, after which they will be donated.
Warm Springs Pool Rules
- Children 8 years old and under, or under 48 inches tall, must be directly supervised by an adult in the water and within arm’s reach. Adults may accompany no more than 2 children.
- Diving is prohibited.
- Competitive breath-holding is not allowed.
- Do not block or linger on the ramp.
- Hanging, sitting, swimming through, or playing on access railings is prohibited.
- ADA lifts are for individuals who require their use. Sitting or playing on lifts is not allowed.
- Benches and walkways must remain clear of personal items. Please use cubbies or lockers for storage.
Blue Lagoon Pool Rules
- Children 8 years old and under, or under 48 inches tall, must be directly supervised by an adult in the water and remain within arm’s reach unless they pass a swim test. Adults may accompany no more than 2 children.
- A swim test may be required to access deep areas of the pool.
- Diving is prohibited in lap lanes.
- Competitive breath-holding is not allowed.
- Patrons must not hang or pull on lane lines.
- ADA lifts are for individuals who require their use. Sitting or playing on lifts is not allowed.
- Hanging on the basketball hoop is prohibited.
- The diving board and slide are open only during designated times. Check with a lifeguard before use.
Dive Tank/Slide Rules
- Only one person at a time may use the slide or diving board. Wait at the bottom of the ladder until the previous person has cleared the area.
- Ensure the entry area is clear before sliding, diving, or jumping.
- Swinging on ladders or railings is prohibited.
- Spotting or catching people on the slide or diving board is not allowed.
- Hanging on the end of the slide or diving board is prohibited.
- Flotation devices are not allowed on the slide or diving board.
- Goggles and face masks are not allowed when using the slide or diving board.
- Diving board users must jump or dive straight off the end, swim out immediately, and use only one bounce.
- Running on the diving board is prohibited.
- Slide users must go feet-first, lying on their backs. Stopping inside the slide is not permitted.
- Jumping from the slide tower is prohibited.
