    Required to extend the public utility infrastructure to serve a private development. Contractual agreement for installation of a water main or sewer main and/or storm drainage system. (UE)

    Apply for this permit online through MyBuildingPermit.

    Design Review Process
    1. Preliminary utilities design routed for review
    2. Utilities Department design review meeting
    3. Marked utilities plans/report and review comments to applicant's contact person (cc: Development Services project manager)
    4. Revised plans/report received
    5. Repeat revision (if needed) until satisfactory
    6. Preconstruction letter sent to applicant
    7. Final sewer design routed to King County/METRO for required approvals
    8. Revised utilities design deemed final

    Hours
    In-person Permit Center services are available Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

    The Permit Center is open Friday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., with customers visiting City Hall served remotely.
