Earlier this year, the City of Bellevue's Office of Housing sought proposals from qualified housing developers to design, finance, and construct affordable housing on a roughly half-acre parcel of city-owned land in the Wilburton Transit-Oriented Development district. Formerly a Porsche auto dealership, the site is located at 12000 Bel-Red Road (AFN: 1099100167) and was purchased by the city in 2014 to support a street improvement project. The redevelopment area is 22,132 square feet. This solicitation now closed, effective June 2, 2025.
The City of Bellevue is delighted to announce that Bellwether Housing was selected to develop affordable housing and community space on the Wilburton site: Press Release
The city is negotiating long-term site leasing agreements with Bellwether Housing and anticipates the project will be complete by 2030.
