"Shades of Brilliance" is an art installation meant to embody the concept of "Black Excellence" by displaying powerful and exceptional works of art from Black artists in a time when Black people's humanity and ability to succeed is often in question. These pieces of protest art break negative stereotypes, making these artists' existence the most powerful act of resistance against systemic racism, economic oppression, and police brutality.
