Water main replacement impacts NE 24th St

Sewer Spill Alert

A blockage incident occurred on Saturday resulting in approximately 9,000 gallons of sewage entering the north end of Meydenbauer Bay in the 700 block of Overlake Drive East, Medina. King County Public Health recommends people and pets stay out of the water in the affected area, including Clyde Hill Beach Park and Meydenbauer Beach Park, until Sunday, Nov. 10 at 12 p.m. Signs are in place at public access points and bordering residents have been notified. Bellevue Utilities will replace an aging water main along Northeast 24th Street beginning Monday, Feb. 15, through May 31. The work will ensure a reliable water supply for residents.

During construction, the public can expect the following:

A work zone extending from 156th Avenue Northeast to 164th Avenue Northeast (construction map).
Construction work hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Heavy equipment, delivery of materials, noise and traffic delays.
