The Bellevue City Council recently recognized 21 staff members who joined other regional partners to help out with the emergency response to the March 22, 2014, landslide in Oso.
Recently, four of those employees talked about their experiences and what they learned in an interesting and informative video produced by Bellevue TV. One participant in the video said of his Oso experience: "It changed who I am."
The staff members lent their support and expertise in the areas of planning, logistics, operations and communications. Both the employees and the organization benefited from opportunities for a hands-on experience, collaboration and relationship building. City offcials were honored to have an opportunity to help out a neighboring community during its time of need.
