The Bellevue Regional Library Board currently has a vacancy. Residents of Bellevue have until February 24 to apply for the vacant seat. The successful candidate will complete a term that expires on May 31, 2015, and is eligible for reappointment.
The library board, which serves as an advisory board to the King County Library System, is comprised of seven Bellevue residents who are appointed by the mayor with the concurrence of the City Council. Terms are four years and no member can serve more than two consecutive full four-year terms.
Applicants must be available for evening meetings. The library board meets on the third Tuesday of each month, at 5 p.m. at the Lake Hills Library, 15590 Lake Hills Blvd.
Interested residents may apply online at www.bellevuewa.gov/library_board.htm or pick up a community service application from the City Clerk's Office or Service First Center at City Hall. Residents may also request that a form be faxed to them by calling 425-452-6466. Applications may be handwritten, typed or computer-generated; a resume may be attached if you choose.
