Bellevue Utilities is responding to a broken 2-inch water service that provides water to apartments and condos in the 400 block of 101st Avenue Southeast. The work has resulted in the loss of water for approximately 125 units. Water service is expected to be restored by 8 p.m. The closure will be lifted when road repairs are expected to be completed in the late evening. Bellevue Utilities has notified and is working with apartment and condo residents.
Impacts from the work for the travelling public include:
- Closure of 101st Avenue Southeast between Southeast Third Street and 100th Avenue Southeast.
The following detour can be followed around the work zone:
- South of the work zone commuters may go south on 100th Avenue Southeast to Southeast Eighth Street and east to Bellevue Way Southeast.
- North of the work zone commuters may go east on Southeast Third Street, to 102nd Avenue Southeast, south to Southeast Sixth Street, and west to 100th Avenue Southeast.
