RENTON -- After an investigation lasting several months, the Eastside Narcotics Task Force served a search warrant on an apartment in the Renton Highlands. They arrested a man and woman suspected of selling heroin out of the apartment and at various locations on the Eastside.
Task force Detectives seized approximately five ounces of heroin, along with an ounce of methamphetamine from the suspects. Both suspects were booked into the King County Jail. The street value of the narcotics seized is approximately $15,000.
Bellevue Police Chief Steve Mylett stated: "I am very proud of the hard work of the detectives on this case. The Eastside Narcotics Task Force is committed to removing heroin and other dangerous narcotics from our streets and dismantling the drug trade in the Pacific Northwest."
The Eastside Narcotics Task Force is a multi-jurisdictional drug task force consisting of one commander, two supervisors, a full-time King County deputy prosecuting attorney, a legal secretary, a financial investigator and detectives from Bellevue, Mercer Island, Redmond, Kirkland and the State Patrol, and United States Postal Inspector's Office. The ENTF's mission is to investigate middle and upper-level drug trafficking organizations. The ENTF concentrates on major narcotics cases that impact our communities.
