The public is invited to provide comments for Bellevue's Parks and Open Space System Plan at a hearing hosted by the Parks & Community Services Board at City Hall on Thursday, Sept. 10, at 6 p.m.
The hearing is an opportunity to provide input regarding long-term objectives for acquisition, preservation or development of parks, community facilities, trails and open space in Bellevue. Comments can be provided in-person at the hearing or submitted in writing prior to the hearing by sending them:
By email: cparker@bellevuewa.gov
By mail: Bellevue Parks & Community Services
Attn: Camron Parker
P.O. Box 90012
Bellevue, WA 98009-9012
In addition, Bellevue park users are invited to take a short survey to answer questions about how they use parks and what types of parks they would like to see in the future. The survey is available through September.
The Parks and Open Space System Plan is the primary tool used to guide the long-term growth and development of Bellevue's parks and open space system. The core of the plan is a set of 20-year capital project recommendations. These long-term recommendations are reviewed and updated approximately every six years.
