Some crimes can now be reported online to the Bellevue Police Department. The online crime reporting system allows you to submit a report immediately. After the report has been reviewed and approved, you may print a copy of the report free. If it is an emergency or a crime in progress, please call 9-1-1.
The crimes that can be reported online include vandalism, theft of services, littering, lost property, car prowls, thefts under $1500, abandoned vehicles, drug and crime tips, and harassing phone calls. Burglaries and car thefts still require a visit from an officer, but follow-up information can be supplied online.
The following requirements must be met by those wishing to use the online reporting system:
- The incident is not an emergency or is not a crime in progress;
- The incident occurred within the Bellevue city limits;
- There are no known suspects;
- There was no evidence left behind;
- The incident did not occur on a state freeway; and
- The person filing the report must be the victim of the crime and have a valid email address.
