Bomb cyclone storm impacts

A bomb cyclone windstorm lashed Bellevue the night of Tuesday, Nov. 19, bringing down trees throughout the city and leaving hundreds of thousands without power. Most city facilities have power but some are on modified hours or closed due to power outages. On Saturday, October 24, 2020, the protest ended peacefully, with no one getting hurt and no damage. During the demonstration, Bellevue police officers provided the protesters a safe space as they marched in the street and ensured motorists' safety in the intersection by closing streets. Chief Steve Mylett asked Mayor Lynn Robinson to institute a civil emergency when he witnessed suspicious activity. The Chief answers questions about the protest in the video link below.
