Work will begin to repave Factoria Boulevard, from Southeast 36th Street to Southeast 41st Place, on Monday, June 16. To minimize traffic delays, the three-month project will take place 7:30 p.m.-6 a.m., Monday through Thursday.
In the annual Street Overlay Program, crews resurface roadways on a regular rotation around the city. The city also fixes or replaces curbs, gutters and sidewalks as needed to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act standards. The program is a cost-effective means of maintaining Bellevue's streets.
Drivers should expect frequent lane closures, and pedestrians should expect periodic curb ramp and sidewalk closures. Please be alert when you are in or near the construction zone, especially if you are a bicyclist or a pedestrian. For your safety, please obey the construction flaggers as you move through the area.
