The City Council is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the Parks & Community Services Board. Interested community members who live in Bellevue are encouraged to apply online by 5 p.m., Friday, April 10.
The Park Board advises the council on parks and open space issues such as park planning, design and construction, natural resources, land stewardship, and environmental education. The board also advises the council on policies related to recreation opportunities, equity, community centers and probation services. The board meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m.
Board members are appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the council to serve four-year volunteer terms. Service on boards and commissions offers community members a meaningful way to help shape Bellevue’s future.
Who can apply?
Applicants must live in Bellevue. The city values and encourages participation from community members of all backgrounds and experiences.
