There is a vacancy on the Planning Commission, and people interested in serving on the City Council-appointed board have until Aug. 18 to apply.
The Planning Commission reviews and proposes amendments to the comprehensive plan, and makes recommendations to the council, using public input, on amendments to the comprehensive plan and Land Use (Zoning) Code. If you are interested, please apply . The deadline is 4 p.m., Aug. 18.
In addition, there are openings on the Bellevue Library Board and Environmental Services Commission, and the deadline for applications for those seats has been extended to 4 p.m., Aug. 25.
The Library Board serves as an advisory body to the King County Library System, and meets the third Tuesday of each month.
The ESC advises the City Council on water, wastewater, storm and surface water and garbage programs, and meets the third Thursday of each month.
If you do not wish to apply online, you can download an electronic version of the community service application or pick up a hard copy from the City Clerk's Office or the Service First desk at City Hall, the Bellevue Regional Library, the Lake Hills Library or Mini City Hall at Crossroads Bellevue. Applicants may also request a form be faxed by calling 425-452-6466.
